The models differ in the shape of their pipe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The pipe of the Bunsen burner is straight. Air is sucked sideways and can be regulated by shifting the air sleeve. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The pipe of the Teclu burner is conical shaped in the bottom part. Air is sucked from below and can be precisely regulated with a threaded air disc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The pipe of the Meker Burner is broader and longer than the others. The burner offers more power. &nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All burners are available as natural or bottle\/butane gas versions. They are to be used according to the following gas pressure ranges:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Natural gas: 18 &#8211; 25 mbar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bottle gas\/butane: 47,5 &#8211; 57,5 mbar (use pressure regulators for gas bottles)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Alternatively, Usbeck offers <strong>\u201call-gas\u201d burners<\/strong> with adjustable jet which can be operated with natural gas as well as with propane or butane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"DIN-30665\"><strong>Cartridge burners<\/strong> can be operated with a cartridge (70% butane, 30% propane) which is also available from Usbeck. Stopping the gas supply with the burner is not possible. A flame remains burning even if needle valve or stop cock are turned off (see picture to the left). This flame may cause irritation but corresponds to the German regulations. For burners with pilot flame, the pilot flame serves to fulfill this DIN function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That way, the user recognizes that gas is still flowing and is forced to stop laboratory burners by means of the central stop cock. Possible remains of gas in the hose are burned this way. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Germany, the trade association regulation \u201cBGR 120\u201d for laboratories (version 08\/2008) prescribes the use of laboratory burners according to DIN Norm 30665. It is not applicable for cartridge burners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Laboratory burners are not covered by the EU Directive relating to appliances burning gaseous fuels (EU) 2016\/426 and are therefore not bearing a CE marking.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">*Deviating rules and specifications may apply in other countries than Germany and need to be checked and considered by the distributing company.
